Journalist, Sommelier, Mom

Welcome to my portfolio website and blog! I’m currently living in Sacramento, where I am a journalist, communications consultant, and most importantly, a mom. I have a Master's in Journalism from Northwestern University. I am a Certified Sommelier and worked in fine dining managing beverage programs for many years. All of which prepared me with skills I would need for the new forays of motherhood; attention to detail, rapid response time, logistics, multitasking, negotiating, and preparing meals for one tough critic.  

When I’m not writing, you'll find me reading to my son, reorganizing our wine cellar, cooking for a soiree, packing for our next trip, mountain hiking, or on the mat practicing yoga or barre. I am seeking more freelance writing opportunities.
